Chilime Seti Hydropower Company Limited (CSHCL) is a subsidiary of Chilime Hydropower Company Limited (CHPCL) and was incorporated in 18^th August 2022 as a public company. It has planned to develop a new project – Seti Nadi-3 Hydroelectric Project (SR3HEP) having capacity of 87MW in Bajhang district of Central Development Region.

Present Status of Seti Nadi – 3 Hydroelectric Project.

1. Detail Feasibility Study: Completed   (Consultant: Chilime Engineering and Services Company Ltd.(ChesCo). The detailed study report includes:

2. Environmental Impact Study (EIA): All the parameters and stages of EIA has been completed and EIA report was approved on 2080/08/25 by the Ministerial decision of Ministry of Forest and Environment (MoFE).

3. Land Acquisition:  Almost 90% of  Private Land Acquisition process are completed.

4. Generation License:  Applied on 2079/05/23 to DoED

5. IBN Approvals:  Already applied to the Investment Board of Nepal (IBN) for the approvals of the investment.

6. Project Implementation: The tender document preparation works are on progress. The construction planning of the project is for four year from the start date of construction

7. Power Purchase Agreement (PPA):

• Energy Locking and Connection Agreement with the Grid Department of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) for the PPA is already completed.
• PPA with the NEA is in the Final stage.

8. Access Road: Headworks, Powerhouse and Camp Site Area are already linked by Seti Corridor Highway. Only about 3 km, connecting road from existing highways to Headworks, Tunnel Portal, Powerhouse portal and surge shaft will need to construct.

9. Geophysical Investigation Works:

1. Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT): 2D-ERT survey carried out in headworks, settling basin, peaking pond, adit tunnel, surge shaft and powerhouse areas. Total ERT completed length is 3,185 m.

ii.    Core Drilling: The Core Drilling work of near about 900 m  along the project main structural location has been completed. In-Situ tests, Laboratory tests and Core Loggings of the soil and rock were carried out.

10. Construction Materials: Survey of the Construction materials and different lab tests has           been completed. Required: Sand- 230,000 Cu.m., Aggregate-345,000 Cu.m and Rubble Stone-50,000 Cu.m which are sufficiently available in the entire river banks of Seti.

11. Power Evacuation:

1. The generated power will be transmitted to the Bajhang Substation which is about 12 km distance from powerhouse with 132 kV double circuit transmission line.
2. Planning to apply for the transmission line survey license to DoED.
3. 400 kV transmission line transmits power from the first section i.e., Bajhang hub to Banlake, Doti  (Length 60 km) and second section i.e., Banlake to Dododhara, Kailali (Length 80 km) are implemented through Rastriya Prasaran Grid Company Limited (RPGCL)
4. According to RPGCL, Tower design and the land leased process are completed for Bajhang sub station, IEE completed for Bajhang hub to Banlake, Doti section and ongoing for second section.
5. RPGCL has planned the tendering process for the first section (60km) Transmission line and substation construction.
